MEMORANDUM TO: Members of the Advisory Committee on Human Radiation Experiments FROM: Advisory Committee Staff DATE: March 8, 1995 RE: Overview of March 15-17 Meeting and Briefing Book Volume 12 In the current period the staff (and Committee) are continuing to work on the completion of data gathering, the contemporary research projects, and the preparation of the final report. In this Briefing Book, we update documentary evidence related to decision making about potential exposure of civilians to fallout (Tab H-1), debate between the Defense Department and Los Alamos/Atomic Energy Commission regarding experimenation at atomic bomb tests (Tab H-2), and proposed experimentation related to the Nuclear Energy Propulsion for Aircraft (Tab H-3). In an earlier mailing, we sent a copy of the UCSF Ad Hoc Committee Report on Plutonium Injection Experiments (Tab F-1 - F-3), and include here brief comments on the UCSF findings, prepared by staff (Tab F-4).
