GERSTNER, M.D. DEPARTMENT OF RADIOBIOLOGY Dr. Gerstner was born in Zaitz, Germany, 13 December 1910. From 1930 to 1935 he studied medicine at the University of Leipaig, and received his M.D. degree from the University of Leipzig (1935). During 1940 he was Dr. Med. Habil, at the University of Leipzig, and Dozentur in Physiology at the University of Leipzig during 1942. He has held the positions of Acting Director of the Institute of Physiology, University of Leipzig (1944-1947); Acting Director of the Institute of Physiology, University of Griefswald (1948-1949); and in 1950 was assigned to the Department of Radiobiology, School of Aviation Medicine, his present duty. He has published several papers in the fields of electropathology, electrophysiology, and bio-acoustics.
