RE:	Freedom of Information Request dated May 21, 1994

In response to your Freedom of Information Act request of
May 21, 1994, a survey of the various divisions within EPA Region IX 
has confirmed no personnel ever being assigned to a project or to a 
visit of the US Air Force test facility site at Groom Lake, Nevada 
(Area 51).  It can be presumed also that no sampling has been complete 
either.
