Draft Three contains four new entries which are indicated by an asterisk. The information presented in the attached chart is not meant to present a complete or comprehensive list of hearings; this chronology will be expanded upon for each future Committee meeting as our research continues. The indexes we have reviewed to date reveal hearings dating back to 1948. Staff is currently collecting copies of the hearing transcripts for the hearings listed. These documents are available in bound volume form and microfiche. The names, affiliations, and statements of witnesses before Congress included in these transcripts will be a good resource for tracing both government agencies' as well as individuals' involvement with human research.
