TAB H þþþDRAFT þ FOR DISCUSSION PURPOSES ONLYþþþ MEMORANDUM TO: Members of the Advisory Committee on Human Radiation Experiments FROM: Advisory Committee Staff DATE: September 8, 1994 RE: Communications and Documentation Regarding Agency Searches: Department of Energy As discussed at prior meetings, the Department of Energy Intelligence Division files ("Intel Files") may likely have contained documentation of experimental work performed at the DOE (or AEC) facilities for other agencies, and on intentional release activities (which, such as Green Run, were relevant to intelligence functions). After an additional Headquarters search and interviews with cognizant persons, DOE has not been able to locate the "Intel Files." As further stated in the attached DOE report, DOE believes they may have been substantially destroyed within the past two decades, and as late as 1989.
